By train
Mistley Station is two minutes walk down the High Street to the Mistley Thorn. Manningtree Station is 1.5 miles. Both stations have frequent direct services to London Liverpool Street.
If you would like a bicycle for the duration of your stay, a great company called Cool Pedals can meet you at the train station with quality bikes for hire.
By car
From London take the A12/A120 east to Horsley Cross turn left and proceed three miles to Mistley. Turn right at T junction down New Road to the Mistley Towers monument, turn right. The Mistley Thorn is 200 yards on the right.
From Ipswich take the A12 south to Hadleigh/East Berholt exit. Turn left through East Bergholt and follow signs to Manningtree. After crossing railway line take a left and drive through Manningtree, proceed along the River Stour to Mistley High Street. The Mistley Thorn is on the right.
