The Mistley Thorn restaurant menu uses the best seasonal and local ingredients available.  To give you an idea of the sort of food being served we have shown below some tried and true dishes that honour the season.  Some are firm favourites from our days at The Stour Bay, others we have picked up along the way.
Oyster Bar
Assorted Oysters; natives and Pacific on the half shell.
Pint of Smoked peel and eat prawns, spicy aioli.
House cured organic salmon and smoked fish platter.
Whole Cracked Norfolk Crab.
Smoked Haddock Chowder
Starters
Piccolo Fritto, a mixed fry of seasonal vegetables and fish with lemon and Parmesan cheese (vegetarian option available).
Smoked Chicken and Jicama Salad, with Coriander and Mint.
Chargrilled Globe Artichoke with Salsa Verdi.
Caesar Salad with Toasted Pepitas.
Duck Terrine with Spiced Pear Chutney and Crostini.
Plate of good salami, Parma Ham, Cheese and Salads (vegetarian option available).
